One of the joys of my practice has been sharing relaxation, stress reduction and mindfulness meditation techniques with clients, friends and family. We’re, right now, preparing for our 2nd Annual Mindfulness Meditation Cruise that is happening January 15-20, 2017, aboard the Norwegian Pearl, from the Port of Miami.
On our last cruise, a year ago, my wife and I, along with 14 friends came together in a private room for a few mind body relaxation sessions. When I was introducing the premise for our first session, I remarked that “hypnosis was an immediate path to relaxation, right now, or they could take the usual day or two to begin to relax on their vacation.” One of the participants remarked, “I like the fast and the immediate!” The tone was set for a great first session, just an hour into the cruise.
All of the participants were amazed at how effective the initial session was, to the point that they completely relaxed and totally enjoyed their vacation aboard the ship from the first few minutes of that session. Relaxation is the first step to prepare for meditation, so from there on we practiced relaxation exercises and meditation.
So, last Saturday night, we had a first meet with our group that is cruising with us this January (the second annual cruise). Most were joining us for this second time, but a number were new to the idea of a Mindfulness Meditation cruise. However, the excitement and laughter was contagious. Those cruise repeaters, shared their experiences, while the new participants became eager to “come on board.”
On this second cruise, we will be doing a total of five sessions, each person can decide how many fits their schedule. But all of the sessions will be while we are at sea, so we can enjoy a group excursion of zip lining and possibly rafting in Jamaica. The group was also adamant that we dine together, so we made reservations for all who care to join us.
I am very, very excited to offer the opportunity for cruising vacationers to relax at sea and participate in this introductory experience to mindfulness meditation and mind body techniques. What a wonderful opportunity to experience all Mindfulness Meditation has to offer, while at sea, away from the stresses of the everyday.
